.....and I promise my next post will be on a different topic and won't mention Humpty Wilshaw. But I couldn't help drawing attention to this article about his latest absurdity.
I'm a retired secondary head, Local Authority Adviser and School Improvement Partner. I know that the vast majority of our schools do an effective job and that the differences in 'performance' of individual schools are usually very small indeed once the nature of their intakes is taken into account. Politicians will tell you differently, particularly as an election approaches, because if I'm right they'd have no excuse to interfere. But why should we expect them to know a ****ing thing about Education? They're politicians, for ****s sake!
